Illustrator R.J. Hughes brought a little bit of Australia to Catherine’s Pascha, when she added St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Coober Pedy, South Australia, to the illustrations.
And now Archangel Raphael Book House has brought Catherine’s Pascha to Australia!
When Catherine’s Pascha first came out, we sold a handful of books outside the US. But long lead times and expensive shipping costs really made it difficult for people overseas to buy. And regulations in the EU made it difficult for us to sell there.
But my marvelous publisher has been working on ways to make the book more readily available outside the US. The first step was getting the book on the various Amazon international websites. I suppose I always thought that just happened by magic. But it turns out that, as with so many things, it’s not magic, it’s hard work. And thanks to my publisher’s hard work, it wasn’t too long before Catherine’s Pascha was available on Amazon UK, Amazon Germany, and even Amazon Japan.
But not on Amazon Australia. Except for the Kindle version. That you could get from Amazon Australia. But not a book on paper. Amazon Australia doesn’t carry books on paper. That surprised me, since Amazon started out as a bookseller. But that’s how it was.
Then my publisher discovered Archangel Raphael Book House, an Orthodox bookstore in Melbourne, Australia. They specialize in books for Orthodox Christian parents and children, and they are now the exclusive sellers of Catherine’s Pascha in Australia!
